tylenol arthritis pain
How do stop pain of Arthritis and period simultaneously.?

I’ve already tried Motrin and Tylenol. Also tried 800mgs of Ibuprophen. However not all at once. Trying not to take the Demerol as i have a 3 month old at home at also work.Suggestions would be apprieciated. ie doc prescribed the demorol and percocet. But I don’t want to be drugged up. Help

Have you tried “Pamprin”?? It is especially designed for ‘pms’; the cramps you can get 2 weeks before your cycle; 2 weeks after your cycle and even during your cycle! It also does wonders for’ fluid retention’ and ‘backaches’!

I call it a ‘wonder drug’! I have soooo many allergies it isn’t funny! My tailbone was broken during the birth of my last child- she was too big to pass the normal way but since her head emerged I had to have a vaginal delivery! Talk about ‘pain’!

I am telling you the “pamprin’ did more for me than all of the other medicines combined and very few side effects which was very important because I decided to breast feed ‘my baby’!

Check it out! It really works!

(yes, I also have arthritis!).

Good luck to you, but seriously, ‘try’ the ‘Pamprin’!!

Effects of Arthritis Pain, Treat Arthritis

Pain is the most common symptom of arthritis of the shoulder. Often, the pain is aggravated by activity and progressively worsens. If the glen humeral shoulder joint is affected, the pain is centered in the back of the shoulder and may intensify with changes in the weather. Arthritis affects many of us and can be very painful. Some of us do not have the money to by prescription drugs. There are many things that you can do to relieve this naturally. You can first start by not eating certain foods as frequently. Potatoes, tomatoes, and peppers contain solacing an inflammatory element. If you cut back on you intake of these foods it will reduce the flare-ups.

Effects of Arthritis Pain: – Arthritis pain is passed off by many as an inconsequential pain and that it is ‘only’ arthritis, but those with arthritis pain know how difficult it is to live and function daily.
If you suffer from arthritis, get moving and do some exercise. Arthritis sufferers can minimize joint pain by keeping those joints moving.

Amazingly, approximately 40% of the world’s population have one type of arthritis or another and as a result suffer significantly from arthritis pain. And, because of arthritis pain pharmaceutical companies sell billions of dollars each year in over the counter and prescription drugs.

Symptoms: – The preliminary symptoms for rheumatoid arthritis include swelling of the joints. At first, the delicate lining of the joints are inflamed. Gradually, the joints stiffen and turn red. You may also suffer from a low fever, loss of appetite, and/or fatigue. As the disease progresses, the synovium gradually becomes thickened.

Arthritis is a painful, potentially crippling disease associated with the joints. Arthritis causes painful swollen joints throughout the body. Arthritis doesn’t just strike older people; it can happen at any age. There are many ways to naturally ease arthritis symptoms.

1. Low fever;
2. Fatigue;
3. Multiple sore or achy joints;
4. Multiple swollen or inflamed joints

How to Treat Arthritis: – On the other hand there are many foods that sooth the pain of arthritis. Cherries, blackberries, blueberries, onions, celery, cayenne pepper, and garlic are great for reducing joint irritation caused by arthritis. These will reduce the pain often associated with arthritis.

1. Vitamin Supplements: – A few vitamins that are effective in fighting arthritis include: Vitamins B5, B6, B12, C, and Vitamin K. Making these vitamins part of your daily vitamin regiment will both prevent and treat your arthritis.

2. Olive Oil Massage: – Arthritis is just one of the many ailments that Olive Oil soothes and cures. Use this treatment daily for the best results.

3. Prevention: – Prevent arthritis all together by exercising regularly and eating a healthy well balanced diet.

4. Herbal Remedy: – Head down to your local health food store and pickup a few oils extracts of herbs that are popular in treating arthritis. A few such herbs include “Devil’s Claw” and Lavender.

Lower your storage areas shelves so you don’t have to strain your leg joints or climb on foot stools. You can also buy a hand gripper for items that are hard to pick up.If you have to climb stairs lead with your stronger leg and on the way down lead weaker leg. If you are working outside in the yard use a stool rather then stooping over especially if you have lower back pain from arthritis.

knee arthritis shot
I was just diagnosed with arthritis in my knee. Has anyone had a cortisone shot for arthritis? Is it painful??

I just had one on Wednesday. The doctor used the freezing spray on the injection site and it kept the skin from hurting but, when he put the needle into my knee joint it hurt like H E double hockeysticks. But, it’s only for a minute or less. My knee is feeling a little better now and the swelling has gone down.

There’s another type of injection they put in arthritic knees called Syn-Visc. It’s supposed to lubricate them and help the pain. I’ve never had it but, know people who have and they had good results.

Hope your knee feels better soon.

knee arthritis therapy
Best treatment for Arthritis pain? I am 28, male, 6foot 3inches tall and 200 lbs.?

I have been athletic all my life. Yet have never injured this knee. After X-rays and mri’s my doctor tells me it is arthritis. He gave me ULTRAM but it doesnt seam to help. He suggests physical therapy but i used to have to do that after injuries like sprains or pulls. I dont care about the pills(they dont work) i just wanna be able to play basketball again. what will work?

You might want to try drinking plenty of water to keep your joints lubricated. Flax seed and fish oils, calcium supplements. Alpha lipoic acid helps relieve joint pain. The spice turmeric reduces inflammation. Add it to your sautes with the extra virgin olive oil.(Without the oil, it will impart a bitter taste.) Anything that you read about that is natually anti-inflammatory can’t hurt. I also swear by a producy called H.A. Joint formula by Purity Products. It contains hyaluronic acid and other super joint- friendly ingredients. It even helps my mom’s joints and she’s 78 yrs.old. (www.PurityProducts.com; 1-800-281-7781). There are also creams and massage oils that contain cayenne. Cherries, raspberries and raisins are all also natural Arthritis Treatments. Do yourself a favor and look into Jonny Bowden’s The 150 Healthiest Foods on Earth, and Patrick Holford’s The Optimum Nutrition Bible . The words of wisdom in these books have helped me to lessen greatly the pain of my osteo/rheumatoid arthritis diagnoses There are all kinds of things on the market I dare not suggest for I have not personally tried them. ( My mom also likes glucosamine and chondroitin.) Can’t hurt. Your arthritis seems to stem from past sports traumas/injuries, so it might be in your best interest to do gentle stretching after workouts, and some other forms of exercise that are not as hard on the joints, too, like swimming, biking, yoga, and hiking. Mix it up a little. Lifting weights is also said to strengthen and grow bone, therefore preventing osteoporosis. It’s all good. Do what you can. It’s all we can do.

Psoriatic Arthritis Knee

What is Psoriatic Arthritis and What Causes It?

Psoriasis is a skin disease that may first show as an arthritic condition called Psoriatic Arthritis to some patients.

The disease is characterized by a rough and scaly type of skin irritation or rash. It usually starts to show in elbows, knees and the scalp. Problems in the toes, fingernails and eyes may also be experienced.

Although, the disease is not contagious, its cause, like some types of arthritis, is unknown. A proper diagnosis is needed to check for the occurrence of psoriasis and its accompanying psoriatic arthritis. Blood tests, X-rays and joint fluid tests, medical history and physical examination are required.

People with a weak immune system are believed to be most susceptible to the disease. Insect bites as well as cuts and scrapes are known to trigger the outbreak of the disease.

Psoriatic arthritis causes swelling and pain in the scaly patches of the body affected by psoriasis and not just the joints. Only a minimum of 10% of those who have psoriasis may develop this type of arthritis which usually target men and women ages 20 to 50.

Usually the symptoms of psoriatic arthritis come slowly and in mild cases. They include apparent pain and redness of the eye, swelling and stiffness accompanied by pain in the joints and the occurrence of grey or silver patches on the scalp, knees and elbows as well as the lower end of the spine. Fingers and sometimes the toes may swell resulting in limited capacity for movement.

There are five known types of psoriatic arthritis and patients may suffer from more than one type.

Asymmetric arthritis does not cause swelling and pain of the joints on the two sides of the body but affects the ankles, wrist, hip and knee.

Symmetric arthritis has symptoms similar to rheumatoid arthritis but milder and the case of deformity is less. Mistaken for osteoarthritis, Distal Interphalangeal Predominant involves the last joints of the toes or fingers. A more serious and severe type of psoriatic arthritis is the arthritis mutilans that affects joints of the feet and hands which eventually result to the destruction of bones and cartilage.

Another rare and serious condition is the Psoriatic Spondyloarthritis which causes deformity and probable changes in posture. Movement of the neck and the lower back may be painful as the spine suffers inflammation.

Treatment for psoriatic arthritis does not include its cure but only prevention of further damage from inflammation and pain relief. Soaking in warm water or warm baths, may give relief along with other heat applications. A dermatologist is needed for the skin problem and a therapist or rheumatologist for the joint disease.

Exercise may be found helpful to strengthen muscles and bones to facilitate better movement. Drugs such as anti-inflammatory analgesics may also be prescribed depending on the patient’s case.

Steroid injections may also be done in certain cases while surgery is usually necessary for severe cases of joint damage. Any form of treatment must be discussed with the doctor because different patients have different conditions and generally have different combinations of the joint disease.

arthritis onset
At what age does arthritis become more common?

So I had the chiropractor out today for my horse’s back. After doing some back and neck work, she checked out his legs. she said she can’t feel any kind of arthritis, in any of his 4 legs. she checked all of his joints, and she doesn’t even feel the slightest bit. It was worth the $100 just to hear that! lol. I’m almost surprised though; my horse is 15, 16 in May. I’ve always learned beginning at age 15, it becomes pretty common for horses to get slight arthritis. But how common? i mean, 1/4 horses? 1/3? 1/2? Am I wrong all together? does the onset start later?

anything welcome :)
wow, sorry, i thought i added “But he was only trail ridden from age 6-15, so i’m sure that has to do with it. i don’t know what happened before 6, though.” i guess i got a little carried away and left that out LOL.

I think arthritis is becoming more common, earlier in the average horse’s life. I blame the extremely hard work that more and more ‘futurities’ are requiring of young horses, before they are even mature enough to carry a rider. I recall reading that the early teens were just the start of a serious competition horse’s best years, because by then the horse was settled mentally and still had energy (and soundness) to perform at its peak.

Perhaps your horse had a better start than most! Perhaps he is genetically stronger and better able to tolerate the excessive stresses of modern competitive training methods.

I almost fell out of my comfy chair laughing, when I saw Clinton Anderson endorsing a joint supplement. I remember watching him lope 2 year old Scooter in endless cloverleaf patterns, for the entire 40 minutes of his TV show. At the end of the show, the colt’s sides were heaving as he tried to catch his breath, and he was obviously drenched with sweat – and it was cold enough that Clinton was wearing a heavy down jacket! A 2 year old should never be loped with a rider more than a few minutes, a few times a week. Doing it in constant sharp corners is even worse! It occurred to me that the joint supplement company might pay him more, for promoting overwork of young undeveloped horses so those horses would need the supplements earlier and for a longer time.

Your best chance of keeping him sound for another 15 years is to learn all you can about performance barefootedness.

Congrats on having a sound, mature horse. Count your blessings and enjoy many long, wonderful years with your good horse.
